Johan Toll is Associate Vice President and Product Manager Blockchain within the Market Technology business of Nasdaq. Johan joined the company in December 2007 responsible for the connectivity strategy of OMX, later Nasdaq OMX. Later the duties evolved into covering the Trading and Post Trade offerings, focusing on the business strategy of Market Technology and leading the product management group. In 2015, Johan became responsible for the blockchain strategy and related offerings of Market Technology. He has been a key driver behind some of the most notable recent Blockchain initiatives presented by Nasdaq in recent years, including a cooperation with SEB to provide a trading platform for the Nordic mutual fund market based on Blockchain technology and the sale of blockchain enabled solutions to marketplaces globally.
Johan joined NASDAQ from Sungard (FRONT ARENA), where he led a global team responsible for the core platform of FRONT ARENA Order Management System. One notable achievement was the development of a service bus that was utilized across the SunGard globally.Johan Toll holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management at Linköping University, Sweden.

Gavin is the Head of Europe at Digital Asset, a New York headquartered financial technology company that builds distributed, encrypted straight through processing tools for wholesale financial service providers using distributed ledger technology. Prior to Digital Asset, Gavin spent eight years at LCH.Clearnet, working with participants from across the market to deliver the first clearing service for Foreign Exchange, known as ForexClear. In that role, he was also part of the Executive Committee of the clearing house. Before that, Gavin worked at Citi for fifteen years in a variety of roles spanning FX trading, e-commerce, algorithmic trading, prime brokerage and management. Gavin’s career started in the British Army where he served for eight years as an officer in the Royal Artillery seeing active service in Cyprus, Iraq and Northern Island. Gavin is Chair of the Board of Trustees of the charity Action Breaks Silence, and a founding member of the Women’s Equality Party.

Daniel Akenine is working for the Microsoft Technology Office on the long term impact of technology on social and economic development. He is a member of ISO’s international expert group for cloud standards, vice chairman of the Swedish Computer Society, teacher at the Royal Institute of Technology and chairman for Iasa Sweden. He is also the co-founder of two technology companies and holds patent applications in Europe and the United States in applied cryptography.
Daniel has a previous history as a brain researcher at the Karolinska Institute, developer and architect at the Nasdaq OMX stock exchange and lead architect for one of the largest Credit Management systems in Europe. Daniel is also an established Swedish fiction writer.

Marc Rubenfeld has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with specific experience in middle and back office technology. As Head of Eagle Solutions, EMEA/APAC, he is a senior member of the Eagle leadership team who fuels long-term growth by focusing on business development in the EMEA and APAC regions. He is a thought leader who manages a global team that works closely with sales, marketing, product, services, and support to advance new and add-on business opportunities using the Eagle solution set. He drives innovation within Eagle by working with clients and prospects to turn business challenges and opportunities into technology solutions for the marketplace.
Previously, Marc spent over 10 years on the product side of Eagle and was responsible for overseeing the performance measurement product development team. In this capacity, he managed a global team charged with software design and development functions, product support and quality assurance for the Eagle Performance suite of performance measurement, attribution, and GIPS® composite management solutions. Prior to joining Eagle in 2002, Marc was an analyst for a predecessor to JP Morgan Prime Services. In that role, he was responsible for business analysis, leveraging technology to provide insight into that business. Marc received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and holds a Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement from the CFA Institute.
