KEYNOTE: Avoiding the minimal viable compliance trap

It’s been few months since regulations such as MiFID II and PRIIP have come in effect, however the financial industry is still struggling to come to terms with the data burden these regulations impose. On top of that, there are several other regulations and compliance issues knocking at the compliance department door aside from the European ‘heavyhitters’, including sanctioned securities and tax compliance. It is therefore more important than ever for firms to ensure that they have a strategic approach to addressing these pressures and data synchronization – minimal viable compliance is not a long-term solution.

SIX Financial Information will take a deep-dive into addressing the big questions: What is the industry actually doing to meet the regulations from a data perspective? What are the costs? And how will this pan out from a strategic, long-term perspective?

Fredrik Koch, Head Product Management, SIX Financial Information
